Claude Code v2.1.173 Release Notes
Latest Claude Code update fixes Fable 5 model name normalization and resolves Windows sandbox startup warnings for improved user experience.
The Claude Code development team has released version 2.1.173, bringing important fixes that enhance the user experience for power users working with Fable 5 models and Windows environments.
What’s New
Fable 5 Model Name Normalization
This release addresses an issue where Fable 5 model names with a [1m] suffix were not being properly normalized. Since Fable 5 models include 1M context by default, the system now automatically strips this redundant suffix, providing cleaner model identification and improved consistency across the interface.
Windows Sandbox Warning Fix
Windows users will no longer encounter the spurious “sandbox dependencies missing” warning that appeared during startup when sandbox functionality was enabled in settings. This fix eliminates unnecessary confusion and ensures a smoother startup experience on Windows systems.
