Claude Code v2.1.10: A Setup Hook, OAuth URL Copying, and Startup Fixes

Claude Code v2.1.10 adds a Setup hook event driven by --init, --init-only and --maintenance, a keyboard shortcut for copying the OAuth URL, and fixes a heredoc crash along with startup and file-suggestion behaviour.

Claude Code v2.1.10 has seven changelog entries: two additions, one fix, two improvements, and two VS Code changes.

What’s New

  • A Setup hook event. It can be triggered through the --init, --init-only, or --maintenance CLI flags, for repository setup and maintenance operations.
  • Copy the OAuth URL with c. When the browser does not open automatically during login, the keyboard shortcut copies the URL instead.
  • Fixed a crash when running bash commands containing heredocs with JavaScript template literals such as ${index + 1}.
  • Startup now captures keystrokes typed before the REPL is fully ready.
  • File suggestions appear as removable attachments when accepted, rather than inserting text.
  • [VS Code] Plugin listings show an install count, and installing a plugin shows a trust warning.
